And I hope you did too …

Today was election day … finally … after months of listening to political ads that seemed to be more about the horrible things their opponent has done, is doing, or will do and nothing about why they are the better choice to represent my beliefs and concerns.   So it was as much an exercise in choosing the lesser of the two evils as much as anything else.   But I always go vote because I do believe I have no right to complain about the state of things if I’ve not cast a vote in an attempt to change it.

I woke up this morning with every intent of capturing a photo that said “Election Day” … and I even had an idea of where and how I wanted to do it.  Traffic patterns and parked cars (not that there were that many people at the polls) were blocking the signs this morning.  This afternoon, I drove by but didn’t stop and try again.   I got home and was putting away my jacket and saw my “I voted” sticker … and the jacket fabric has a lot of texture … so to sum up this day …
