An Eastern Bluebird …

Even though bluebirds are fairly common here, I rarely see them in my yard.  I walked past the window and saw this one perched on top of the pole that holds a few of my bird feeders.  It sat there patiently while I got the camera and switched to the 300 mm lens.  And then just as I raised the camera, off it went.  Fortunately, it didn’t go far and had moved only a far as the closest tree.
