A couple of my feathery friends …

This cold, rainy weather has resulted in a feeding frenzy at the bird feeders the last couple of days.   There lots of titmouses out today and a few chickadees.  I heard a downy woodpecker and soon saw a pair moving up and down in a tree.  I wasn’t able to get a clear view of the female, but did get a few of the male.  Chickadees are one of my favorites; perhaps it is simply the coloring, but they seem to be so expressive.  I’m starting to wonder what has happened to all the finches.  I saw a couple goldfinches a couple of weeks ago, but not a single finch since then.
