Home-cooked Chicken Pad Thai …

Photographing food is not something I would normally do, but for a number of reasons that is exactly what I did this evening.  The reasons seem to all point to my son.  After we’d picked out and paid for his camera, but before he had gone back to pick it up, we were looking at the copy of the owner’s manual he’d downloaded from the internet and looking at my camera, as well.  We were going through all the “scene” settings … my camera actually has a setting for photographing food.   I did try that setting, but I wasn’t pleased with the results and switched back to manual mode.  I also had not taken any photographs earlier in the day and knew he’d probably taken quite a few and would want to talk about them.  And lastly, he cooked the Pad Thai.  I did cut up the scallions, crush the peanuts and cook the noodles … but he did the rest.   It was quite tasty, too.
