“And what kind of bird are you?”, said the chickadee …

I went into town yesterday to pick up a few things and bird seed was high on the list.  I can’t help but look at the feeders and other accessories and ended up buying one of the metal baffles that is more cone-shaped than the plastic dome that is sort of flat near the top.   I was thinking that the squirrels wouldn’t be able to balance on it as easily.   I got up early this morning and went out and installed it.   It took them only about 6 hours to figure it out.  I actually saw this one jump at it and use it as a ramp.   After I snapped this quick photo, I went out and raised the baffle a bit and moved his “launch pad” out of range of the pole.   I did not notice the chickadee until I’d looked at the image on my computer.
