A winter sunset …

A cold front was moving in quickly this afternoon.  It was 45 degrees when I when in for a 3:30 pm appointment and at 4:10 pm, it was 37 degrees.   It is now 28 degrees and the forecast is for it to reach 12 degrees by morning.  I realized driving into town that if they are wrong about how far south the cold front will push and therefore, wrong about how cold it will be here the next couple of days, then that storm that’s going to ride up along the edge of the front in the next few days dumping a wintry mix in places that rarely see wintry mixes might instead be delivering a wintry mix here.   I think that maybe I’d rather have the cold than the ice and snow.

But as you can see the sunset was spectacular once again.  The challenge was finding a safe place to pull over where the view would not be spoiled by road signs and utility poles.
