We had rain on Monday that left puddles in the yard.  The surface of the water froze overnight while the rest seeped into the ground.  Tuesday morning I discovered thin sheets of ice held up by little tufts of grass and moss.

Last night brought freezing rain.  When I opened the curtains this morning to let in a bit of light, there were water droplets all along the curve of the shepherd’s hook that holds one my bird feeders.
