Melting snow …

After waking up to the upper twenties and a heavy dusting of snow and sleet that looked like someone had poured large quantities of laundry detergent on my vehicle, it warmed up into the 50’s this afternoon.  The sunshine and warmer air made good headway toward melting the snow in the yard on my deck.  I finished the quilt that I had been working on yesterday and wanted to take it out and get a few pictures.  Fortunately, the snow was long gone from the railings.  There’s still a couple of inches over much of the deck and the stairs and I found myself quickly distracted by the pooling of the melted snow on the surface of the oil-stained deck boards.
