I took a look at the post from yesterday and realized that after stating that I was “too tired for words” managed to ramble on for a bit.   The weather today didn’t turn out quite as forecasted, but the fun event was cancelled due to an unfortunate and tragic accident last night during the opening events; I’d planned to visit a hot air balloon festival about an hour away.

The ground was wet this morning, so I excused myself from the planned yard work.  I check the radar a few times and there was a large area of rain moving in or so it seemed.  I though I’d task myself with a little street photography thinking people dealing with the rain … umbrella’s and such.  So I packed up my gear, checked that I had the essential rain gear and headed out.  It was just starting to rain here, so I was expecting to drive through rain all the way to town … or at least the radar images had indicated that.   But there was nothing after those first few drops.  I ran a few errands and headed back home.  So today’s photo is another from my own yard.  The first variety of irises are blooming.
