Blackened rose …

Some of the roses were still blooming, as well.  I wish I’d taken a few shots of this opening bud from a different angle.  The previous morning’s frost had blackened the outer petals, but it appeared that it had continued opening as the “burns” were like swirling stripes.  The most pronounced stripe is hidden in the shadows.
