Warm and fuzzy … or frazzled …

When I was a kid, I had one of those square plastic looms.  I don’t remember doing anything more than potholders with it.  I have knitting looms, but tend to knit on regular needles.  But I came across a very simple scarf pattern that uses a rectangular loom to weave sections that you sew together end to end to make a scarf.  I decided to give it a try since I have plenty of yarn on hand that I ought to use.  And since the weathermen aren’t waiting for Groundhog’s Day to proclaim we’ve got 6 more weeks of winter to get through, another warm scarf just might come in handy.   I was taking the first section off the loom and wondered how it would photograph.   The flash really highlights the blues and greens more than the incandescent lamp it was laying under when I first thought about photographing it.  I think I’m going to like it.
