I was thinking this afternoon that I might drive into town and take a few photos of the hustle and bustle of a Friday evening in the ‘burg. They’ve decorated for Christmas … if it were December, I’d be in the mood to photograph the decorated lamp-post, etc. But having the decorations up now isn’t a celebration of Christmas … just part of the commercialization of Christmas. So I thought for a moment about where else to go. That is was mid-November was at the front of my mind and I remembered that one of the local icons usually closes about this time of year and re-opens toward the end of February. So I decided to go photograph that particular icon.
