There were bits of sunshine trying very hard to push through the cloud cover earlier in the day, but the afternoon was just cloudy … the sort of cloudy that seems to drive out the color this time of year when most of the leaves have fallen from the trees.   I only know this because I was able to work from home today.  Ordinarily, I have very little idea what the weather is between the time I arrive at work and the time I leave at the end of the day.

This is the first time I’m posting a “left over”.  It was a photo I took last Sunday afternoon (after I’d decided to use my 50 mm lens exclusively this week .. so it still fits) when I took a walk downtown.  One of the stores that sells home decorations had one window decorated with a more traditional Christmas tree with more traditional ornaments, etc.   The other was filled with all this whimsical stuff.   I admit that while it isn’t my Christmas style, it did make me smile and even laugh.
