A few weeks ago, my son took a photo of a snowflake on a cast iron skillet. I didn’t ask if he had chilled the skillet before hand, but thought maybe that would help if I had a chance to try it … so one of my cast iron skillets had been in the freezer for a week or so. We had snow showers most of the day today and I happened to be working from home. When I walked into the kitchen to heat up some soup for my lunch, I noticed that the snow had picked up a bit. Once I had my soup in the microwave, I grabbed my skillet and my camera and headed out to the deck. For the next 15 minutes or so I attempted to photograph the snowflakes that landed in the skillet. I also had to reheat my soup and eat it quickly so I could get back to work.
