Not only do I miss being in control of the exposure settings, I miss some of the other gear that I have for use with my DSLR. But this morning, the weather provided me with a filter that allowed me to capture the sun as an orb after it had already risen well above the horizon. And I was also quite lucky to have the opportunity. I headed out a little later than usual to go to work and was met by the fog. The sun wasn’t at all visible. I put my purse and newspaper in the car and went back to the house to get my camera. By the time I returned, the sun was beginning to burn through the fog.
