“Street photography” isn’t something I’m very comfortable with; I rarely point my camera in the direction of people. But I was panning the horizon to frame a shot and that first young couple that had been a minute or two behind me on the trail and had taken up a position on the rocks appeared in the frame. I snapped one image and then shifted and re-framed to avoid them. A few minutes later, I took a quick look at the LCD to review a few of the most recent images and thought to myself that perhaps I would share it here and call it “waiting for the sunset” or something similar. When sunset finally arrived (about fifteen minutes after I captured this image), I realized the title would need to change when he proposed and she said “yes”.
