At the end of August I visited the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens for the first time. I decided pretty quickly that I should have gotten a membership so I could visit often. I finally made it back yesterday and I wasn’t disappointed, at least not with the gardens. I only wished I’d not waited as long between visits. The foliage was past peak, but there was still plenty of color to be enjoyed. The preparations for the holiday lights were a bit distracting and I worked to avoid them in most of my photographs. I was surprised that in spite of several cold mornings, that a lot of the roses were still blooming. Some showed the effects of frost and others seemed untouched.
I when back and created a Category for “Lewis Ginter” to make it easier to go back to see some comparison with late August. And I still did not visit the Conservatory; I’m saving that for a cold day when I want to get inside for a bit.
