Sometimes you get lucky and turn around at just the right moment …

I’m posting early today.  That doesn’t mean I’ll not pick my camera up later in the day, but I’m pretty sure that the sunrise this morning might beat out anything else I come across today.

I got up rather early this morning and had been sitting here on the couch with my laptop.  I got up to go finish getting ready to head out the door in a bit and the light coming through the sidelight by my front door was pure fire.  I grabbed a jacket, slipped into my shoes, grabbed my camera and stepped out on the porch and captured the second image posted … one shot … and quickly came back in … turned off the one lamp I had on and took several more quick pictures of the sidelight before the colors could fade.

    1. I realized about the time I hit “publish” on this entry that it wasn’t about luck … it was a blessing to get to see that bit of handiwork.
