A less than successful attempt …

I’d been thinking about trying this for a while and when I remembered that my son had a telescope sitting in a box collecting dust, I figured it couldn’t hurt to give it a try.  Apparently, there is much I need to learn before to achieve good results.  I ordered the adapter and t-ring that I needed and it arrived yesterday.  The sky was overcast well into the evening, so I had to wait until today to give it a try.   I really should have gotten the telescope out over the weekend and taught myself how to use it; apparently, it isn’t like riding a bike … you can forget.

While the image below is nothing like I was hoping for, I do sort of like it.   A bit more reading and researching and I’ll give it another go.
