In the snow …

I did go out yesterday and take a few pictures in the snow.   I’ve learned that you can’t just head out the door … you have to take it slow and see what is right in front of you before you stomp your way through the snow and have trampled what Mother Nature and her more gentle creatures have created.  I took the first picture before I swept off the steps …  I suspect the wrens and juncos that were busy with breakfast had created these almost lace like designs in the thin layer of snow here.  The second is one of the last photos I took.  What stuck me was the how dense the woods appeared with each and every tree lit in the morning sun.
